His stories have been nominated for the Nebula, World Fantasy, and Theodore Sturgeon Awards, and have appeared in over a dozen “year’s best” anthologies. He’s a graduate of the Clarion Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Workshop, and a winner of the Shirley Jackson Award. He lives in New York City, and at www.samjmiller.com. Samuel R. Among his numerous novels are the Nebula-Award winning "Babel-17" and "The Einstein Intersection," plus "Dhalgren," "Nova," "Phallos" and "Dark Reflections" (which won the Stonewall Book Award in 2008). He has written the widely taught "Times Square Red, Times Square Blue" and a popular creative writing textbook, "About Writing". His autobiography "The Motion of Light in Water "won a Hugo Award. His more recent work includes "Through the Valley of the Nest of Spiders" in 2012 and "The Atheist in the Attic" (2018). Delany was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 2002 and was made the 30th Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master of Science Fiction in 2014. He was the 2015 recipient of the Nicolas Guillén Award for philosophical fiction. Copies of both Sam's and Samuel's books will be available for purchase and autographing. At the door: donation to the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) of $5.00 is suggested. This reading series is sponsored by SFWA and hosted by The Irish Pub.
